Mohegan Tribal Fire Trains With New Hazmat Meter

On Thur., July 9, 2026, the Mohegan Tribal Fire Department participated in training a new hazmat meter provided through a grant from the United and Southeastern Tribes.  The MX908 is a multi-mission portable handheld mass spectrometer for real-time identification, utilized by responders conducting chemical, explosive, priority drug and hazmat operations. This will be an asset to our hazardous materials response capabilities throughout the region.
