Chief Malerba to Deliver Keynote Address at Connecticut College’s 108th Commencement in May

Earlier today, Connecticut College announced Chief Many Hearts, Dr. Lynn Malerba will deliver the keynote address at their 108th Commencement on Sunday, May 17, 2026.
“On behalf of the Mohegan Tribe, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to Chief Lynn Malerba on being selected as the keynote speaker for this year’s Connecticut College Commencement and on the conferral of an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters,” said James Gessner Jr., Chairman of the Mohegan Tribe. “Chief Malerba's exceptional record of service, including her role as former U.S. Treasurer, showcases leadership that has uplifted the voice and standing of all native people. She has consistently broken barriers while staying true to Tribal values, proving that tradition and progress are not mutually exclusive goals. We are proud of Chief Malerba, and we are grateful for the example she has set for future generations.”
