Mohegan Tribal Fire Department Provides Mutual Aid to Scrapyard Fire in Montville

On Wed., Apr. 23, 2025, Mohegan Tribal Fire Department Engine 2 was dispatched as mutual aid to a large fire at a scrapyard on Pequot Rd in Montville. Upon arrival, the crew met with Montville command, who requested Engine 2 finish laying 300 feet of 5’ supply line to the fire. This line provided water to Quaker Hill’s Ladder 25. MTFD personnel then deployed 300 ft of 2 ½ hose and a Blitzfire off Engine 2 to put water on the fire. Engine 2’s driver relay pumped water to the scene. MTFD worked with New London, East Great Plains, Quaker Hill, and Montville units to extinguish the fire.
