About Kim
Kimberly (Kim) Padroff is a dedicated fourth-grade educator at Hatton Elementary School in Southington, CT. She is known for fostering a classroom culture rooted in social-emotional learning, high expectations, and a safe, supportive environment where all students can thrive. Padroff empowers her students to take risks, build confidence, and view challenges as opportunities for growth, while encouraging empathy and responsible citizenship.
A lifelong learner, Padroff believes that educator growth drives student success. She actively pursues professional development, bringing innovative strategies into her teaching. She has earned multiple grants, including a Dalio Foundation award to attend Lincoln Center Education’s Summer Forum, and was a 2019 Fund for Teachers recipient, traveling to Europe for a creativity workshop. She has also participated in fellowships focused on social-emotional learning and growth mindset, shaping her commitment to educating the whole child.
Padroff holds advanced degrees in Elementary Education and Educational Leadership from the University of Bridgeport. Beyond the classroom, she mentors teachers and collaborates with colleagues to strengthen instructional practice. Honored as a Connecticut Teacher of the Year semifinalist, she remains committed to inspiring both students and educators to reach their fullest potential.
