About Brian
Brian Graca has dedicated his career to advancing equitable mathematics education across Connecticut. Since 2003, he has taught at Rocky Hill High School, serving as Mathematics Program Supervisor since 2015. In his classroom, he combines rigorous academics with empathy and a belief that every student can succeed.
Graca has expanded access for students through initiatives such as the RESET Program, which helps credit-deficient students reengage and graduate, and SAT preparation programs that have supported hundreds of students without access to private tutoring. His doctoral research introduced a statistical model that provides a more equitable approach to evaluating academic achievement across Connecticut districts.
A board member of the Connecticut State Association of Math Leagues, Graca has helped elevate competitive mathematics statewide. Under his leadership, the RHHS Math Team has been recognized as Connecticut’s top public small school in four of the past five years.
He also coached cross country and track for nearly two decades, earning induction into the Rocky Hill Athletic Hall of Fame in 2024. Graca is also an adjunct professor at Central Connecticut State University, where he teaches Quantitative Research Methods and advises doctoral candidates.
