About Bethany

With nearly two decades in music education, Bethany Fuscaldo has built a distinguished career as an educator, conductor, and musician. She earned a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the University of Maryland and a Master of Music in Music Education from the University of Michigan.

Since 2012, Fuscaldo has served as Director of Orchestras at Greenwich High School, leading award-winning ensembles and fostering a dynamic, inclusive program for students in grades 9 through 12. Previously, she taught middle school orchestra and elementary strings in Greenwich, shaping her comprehensive approach to developing young musicians.

She has led student performance tours nationwide, with ensembles earning top ratings and first-place festival awards. Her commitment to excellence has brought notable recognition, including performances by the GHS String Ensemble as a “Showcase Ensemble” at the CMEA All-State Conference (2016) and the All-Eastern Conference in Hartford (2025).

Fuscaldo has also been recognized for her work in both performance and pedagogy, presenting at music education conferences in Connecticut and New Jersey, and attending the prestigious Juilliard Conducting Workshop for Music Educators in 2013.

Outside of the classroom, she performs cello professionally and resides in Greenwich with her husband, Joseph, and their two children, Tory and Tripp.
