About Angela
Angela Ocasio is a dedicated social studies teacher at Windham Technical High School, where she also proudly teaches in the community that helped shape her. A graduate of Windham Tech’s Electrical program, she brings a unique perspective to education, valuing multiple pathways to success beyond traditional academics. Ocasio holds degrees in history/social sciences, secondary education, and educational leadership, and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in literacy.
Her student-centered philosophy emphasizes that success looks different for every learner. She prioritizes creating a classroom environment where students feel respected, supported, and empowered to grow. Ocasio’s instructional approach focuses on meaningful learning, offering students opportunities for revision, reflection, and deeper thinking.
Beyond the classroom, she actively engages students in community-based learning, including founding a Garden Club that connects students with local organizations and real-world skills. A mentor to new teachers and a collaborative leader, Ocasio is committed to continuous growth and innovation. She believes that while students may not change the world overnight, they can always make their corner of it better.
