About Olivia
Olivia Petersen discovered her passion for teaching early on. Throughout her journey, Olivia's dedication to fostering inclusive and engaging learning environments has been unwavering. With a background in Communications and Ethnic Studies, Olivia seamlessly transitioned into the world of education after realizing her true calling. Her commitment to advocating for culturally responsive teaching methods and equitable education is unparalleled.
Currently, Olivia is the 7th-grade social studies teacher at East Granby Middle School. Olivia also teaches Black and Latino Studies to high school students. In addition to her classroom responsibilities, she actively contributes to the district's Climate & Culture Committee and champions social-emotional learning initiatives.
