About Angela
Angela Fragoso has served Meriden Public Schools for 25 years as a classroom teacher, grade-level facilitator, TEAM mentor, and teacher trainer of the Sheltered Observation Protocol Model (SIOP). In addition to this work, Angela has also served as a panelist for various education organizations and has been awarded multiple recognitions including the Connecticut Excellence for Education Award in English as a Second Language, and The White House Bright Spot in Hispanic Education Award.
Angela is deeply committed to supporting students and their families in achieving their goals beyond high school. She serves as a FAFSA coach and works closely with students and families to help them complete their Free Application for Federal Student Aid, and guides students through the college application process. In addition, Angela frequently organizes and presents workshops on topics that help families navigate the school systems, as well as understand the resources available to them in the community.
Angela holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Connecticut, a Master’s Degree from Fairfield University, and a Sixth Year Degree from Southern Connecticut State University. She is fluent not only in English but also in Spanish, Portuguese, and French.
