About Carol
When Carol Lemieux began teaching at Naubuc School in 1993, her primary concerns were meeting benchmarks and providing exciting lessons to cover the curriculum. She soon learned that helping her students feel included, safe, and valued was far more crucial. For Lemieux, meeting her students where they are and connecting with their families must come first.
Beyond the classroom, Lemieux is extremely involved in the Naubuc community. She helps organize numerous school-wide fundraisers and programs to benefit local and international foundations. She also coaches a before-school "Morning Board Game" club, allowing students to develop lifelong collaborative skills, and she loves to attend her students' soccer and t-ball games or recitals on the weekends. Lemieux serves on several district-wide committees, including Purposeful Play and "Choose Love Not Hate". She's also passionate about the Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation, and her family has partnered with them as a foster family to countless puppies and dogs since 1993.
Lemieux considers herself to be one of the luckiest people in the world. She absolutely loves being with her Kindergarteners each and every day! She believes educators have the power and responsibility to make connections and build our students up. With a strong classroom community firmly in place, the sky's the limit.
