Learn More About Regina

Regina Lee has been the Gifted & Talented teacher for Vernon Public Schools for the last 11 Years.  Within that role, she teaches classes for identified gifted students and provides a variety of enrichment opportunities for all students at the middle school and high school levels.  She runs many special events within the district, such as the Scripps Spelling Bee, The National Geographic Bee, Math Olympiads, the National History Day competition, FIRST Lego League, and Dungeons and Dragons Club.  Regina was Connecticut's 2019 History Day Teacher of the Year and took 6th place nationally.  She was Vernon's 2021-22 Teacher of the Year and a State TOY finalist.  She earned her B.A. in American and Ethnic Studies from Trinity College in Hartford, her M.A. in Reading and Language Arts from St. Joseph College, and her Sixth-Year Diploma in Educational Psychology with emphasis in Giftedness, Creativity, and Talent Development from UConn.  She is dual certified in regular and special education.
