Learn More About Patricia

Patricia Miceli graduated from Salve Regina University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Music. She earned her Master’s degree at the University of New England. Miceli’s career began in her hometown of East Providence, Rhode Island. There, she taught for 10 years, before obtaining her first Connecticut teaching position in New London. For the past 22 years, Miceli has been a fourth grade teacher at Oakdale Elementary School in Montville, CT.

Miceli serves on the district-wide Leadership Team, Tools for Schools, Safety and Security Committee, and is a TEAM trained mentor.

Miceli’s mission is to guide students toward becoming their very best selves. She believes in developing caring and compassionate relationships, as well as promoting growth and achievement. She focuses on her students’ individuality and believes in teaching to their learning styles. Miceli sets students up for success and fosters in them a love for learning. She provides a safe learning environment that promotes taking risks and a sense of belonging.

Miceli is a singer and songwriter and often uses music to engage her students. Below is a song Miceli co-wrote with a colleague as a gift to the teachers of Montville, reflecting what WE do together to guide our students toward success.
