USET - United South and Eastern Tribes

United South and Eastern Tribes, Inc. is a non-profit,
inter-tribal organization that collectively represents its
member Tribes at the regional and national level. USET has
grown to include 24 federally recognized Tribes,
operating through various workgroups and committees and
providing a forum for the exchange of ideas and information
amongst Tribes, agencies and governments.
NCAI - National Congress of American Indians

The National Congress of American Indians was founded
in 1944 and is the oldest and largest tribal government
organization in the United States. NCAI serves as a forum
for consensus-based policy development among its membership
of over 250 tribal governments from every region of the
country. NCAI's mission is to inform the public and the
federal government on tribal self-government, treaty rights,
and a broad range of federal policy issues affecting tribal
governments.
Smithsonian Indian Museum

The Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian
celebrates its Grand Opening on the National Mall in
Washington, D.C., on Tuesday, September 21, 2004. To
promote the education of what Native Americans have
suffered and achieved, the Mohegan Tribe made a $10
million donation to this project. Tribal Chairman Mark
Brown called it a “monument to learning” and was
appointed to the museum’s board of trustees, giving
Eastern tribes a voice in the project.
American Indian Arts & Crafts Board

The Indian Arts and Crafts Board, a separate agency
located in the U.S. Department of the Interior, was
created by Congress to promote the economic development
of American Indians and Alaska Natives through the
expansion of the Indian arts and crafts market.
